Board of Trustees
The Friends School of Atlanta’s Board of Trustees is dedicated to the mission of The Friends School of Atlanta and committed to guiding a long-term view of the school. Per the bylaws of the school the board's goal, when possible, is to have not less than 50% of the board be members or attenders of a Meeting of the Religious Society of Friends in order to have sufficient Quaker representation to model, support, articulate and advocate for the school's continuing Quaker identity.
The ongoing work of the Board includes helping to develop strategic goals, approving the annual budget, participating in fund raising and hiring the Head of School.
By Laws: "The Board’s membership shall include sufficient representation of Quakers to model, support, articulate and advocate for the school’s continuing Quaker identity, with the goal that, when possible, no less than fifty percent (50%) of the Board is comprised of persons who are members or attenders of a Meeting of the Religious Society of Friends."
Board Committees
Most committees are open to faculty and parents in addition to Board members. Please ask the Head of School if you are interested in being considered for a committee.
