Tuition, Fees, and Financial Aid
For the 2023–24 academic year, tuition is as follows:
AGE | TUITION |
---|---|
PreK3 | $17,594 |
PreK4 | $22,126 |
K-2nd grade | $26,017 |
3rd-4th grade | $26,633 |
5th–8th grade | $27,695 |
Other Costs
In order to allow for accurate planning, a non-refundable deposit of 15% of total tuition is due with your signed contract.
Aftercare for PreK3-Kindergarten students is included in tuition. Otherwise, Aftercare and After School Club fees are not included in the tuition or activity fees. Aftercare fees for grades 1-8—$18 per day, or $12 per day for families receiving tuition assistance—are billed separately at the end of each month based on daily usage; Club fees must be paid in advance. Club brochures, with listings and fees, will be announced in the Late Quaking News. The cost of Aftercare following an After School Club is $7.50, or $6 for families receiving tuition assistance.
Family Discounts
In an effort to reward and support families with more than one child enrolled, a family discount of three percent (3%) of the second and/or following child’s tuition will be given. When the oldest child graduates, the oldest remaining child will resume payment of full tuition. Tuition Assistance recipients are not eligible for family discounts.
Mid-year Enrollees
After October 14, students entering the school will have their tuition prorated according to the remaining school days of the academic year.
Tuition Assistance
In keeping with our commitment to diversity, The Friends School of Atlanta seeks a student body that represents varied economic backgrounds. Once a student has been accepted for admission, tuition assistance is determined and renewed on the basis of demonstrated financial need without regard to gender identity, race, color, ethnicity, religion, disability, sexual orientation or family structure.
The tuition assistance program is guided by our belief that parents have an obligation to pay the educational expense of their children to the extent that they are able. The purpose of aid is to fill the gap between the actual cost of a year’s tuition and what a family can realistically be expected to pay. Tuition assistance in one year does not guarantee assistance in subsequent years.
How to apply
To help determine a family’s contribution, we use an outside service that helps us look at the relative needs of all financial assistance applicants. If you are applying for tuition assistance, we strongly recommend that you complete the tuition assistance application as soon as possible. In order to begin the process, all prospective parents are directed to complete the Tuition Assistance Application via Blackbaud’s website.
