Apogee Scholarship Fund
Wouldn't it be great if you could decide how your tax dollars are used?
Well...FSA has partnered with Apogee Georgia School Choice Scholarship Fund, a state approved 501c3 nonprofit SSO (Student Scholarship Organization).
Through this partnership, you can contribute to Apogee and receive dollar-for-dollar credit on your Georgia State taxes. By contributing to our school through this program, you not only support our commitment to academic excellence but also directly impact the lives of students who might not otherwise have the opportunity to attend our school.
But wait, it gets better…
Because you’re supporting the school with funds that are already owed to the State, it truly is a win-win for everyone.
So, here’s how it works:
How? Visit the Apogee website at www.apogee123.org and make your pledge for 2025. Once approved you will have 60 days to fund it. Then, the following tax year you will get a full dollar-for-dollar tax credit on your Georgia taxes. If you pledge $100 you will get a $100 tax credit. If you pledge $1,000, you will receive a $1,000 tax credit. If you have a pass-through business, you can pledge up to $25,000, and you will get a full tax credit for the amount approved.
Why? Your investment in tuition assistance not only opens doors for individual students but also strengthens the fabric of our entire school community. By increasing diversity, we create a learning environment that reflects the richness of perspectives, experiences, and backgrounds.
What will it cost me? Nothing. If you pledge and pay $5,000 and your 2025 Georgia tax bill is $10,000, you will only owe $5,000 to the state of Georgia.
What’s the catch? There isn’t one. This is literally free money for FSA. The only downside is that you have to satisfy the pledge in early 2025 and will not get the tax credit until you pay your taxes the following year, but that’s it.
How much can I pledge? Individuals can contribute up to $2,500 and couples up to $5,000. Pass-through entities can contribute up to $25,000. For more information, please visit www.apogee123.org.
